Thanx for the info Zui. I could see a vamped Axe giving me a shitload of health Barrage style if I used Triple Chop. Basicly if I hit the main target and 3 foes near the target I gain roughly 12 health instantly. My math might be a bit fuzzy but I could see Triple Chop and Cyclone Axe being major staples on my bar if I switch to axe. Which means if all of what I just said is true then axe is the better benefit for regaining health. So now it is either Sword or Axe I need to choose from. I think Axe would be the better choice. Heh I am learning some good shit here with this thread.

Edit: By using my endgame Green Dragoncrest Axe along with Swift Chop, Executioner's Strike and Triple Chop I can cause more DPS than if I did sword. My following axe stats are:

Axe Mastery:10
Beast Mastery: 9
Tactics: 9
Expertise: 9

I did some tests against the Am Fah and three Jade Knights and well not bad. Gets a bit hairy with the Am Fah Marksmen but still the DPS with axe is amazingly good. Me thinks axe may be my primary attack build while sword and hammer will be for small quests and such. I can see axe playing a much better role during the bigger Quests and Missions. I love having a R/W. More so when I have a pet backing me up. Oh yea I did hit Lvl 20.

All and all , the guys here are right for the vamp, but go ebon. It works really well all around. Thas what I have used earlier.

one idea is to get 2 collector swords max, put ebon on one and vamp on the other and alternate.

Also in Pve bring alternate armor sets. Want more health switch to your non rune set. Want to use axe, get the other helm. etc etc..

flexibility is key.

My w/mo has complete weaponsets /runes /armor for any skill combos. I pVP and Pve with him.

Flexibility

Gotta remember this is a R/W build though. Still flexiblity is key to any build\profession type. I will use axe as my main mode of attack then sword for the small things like quests or just a bit of farming then hammer if I need to. With hammer I can use just Irrestible Blow and Enraged Smash coupled with a good pet attack like Call of Haste. Beastial(correct spelling) Fury helps alot already with my DPS. Also why in the hell did A-Net incorrectly spell beastial?! They must think Bestial Fury sounds and looks leet. Oh well. Now to get a better hammer. Victo's Maul is great but it is outdated and I hate the skin so much.

I play ranger warrior quite abit in pve and really enjoy it. Here are afew builds and tips i use, ignore them or use them, the choice is yours
First off, i really look what skins i have and like them to feel, kinda ranger like.

My favourite shield which goes with ranger in my view, is the Round shield also the same skin is called Wooden buckler, ornate buckler and a quest reward is called Tall shield. I paid a large sum to get a req 7, +29, -2 in stance round shield but the good news is, you can now get collectors versions of this skin, in +45, -2 in stance, -5(20%) chance req 9, now in cantha should you also like the skin. Here is a link on wiki to the collectors should you like them better than the Crimson carpace.
http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Collector Just look under Canthan collectors and look for Round shields with Tactic req.

Also when you don't met the req for your shield i would suggest using the candy cane one which is +10 armor always, or i found a good one in pre-searing with the round shield skin which has the stats, +5 armor, another +4 armor while health is above 50 and +15 health always.
So yeah if you prefer round shield skin, thats a good one when you don't put into the tactic attribute. Anyway back to builds and like i said, this is just what i use and enjoy.

With pet>
This build has a version for axe and sword, either is as good, so if you should run it, just do what you feel like. It has no heal, so be careful about that

Expertise 8+1=9(good break point i often use)
Beastmaster 11+3+1(mask)=15
Swords/axe =11
note, you can have 12 swords/axe, 14 beast the choice is yours
Anyway i use

Enraged Lunge {E} 100+ Damage, 5 second recharge, 3 energy!!
Any two Adren skills(as energy is quite short with no zealous) sword or axe skills here, with sword i usually do (Sever and gash) and with axe (Executioners and Dismember)
Tigers Fury
Res sig/Call of protection
>>> I usually play with hench so i take protection, it also means that you don't need to have tigers fury "disabling" charm and comfort to get full benifit from Enraged.
Call of haste
Comfort
Charm

And also as others have suggested, Sentry Chest and pants and druids leggins and glooves.

Sword Ranger

Expertise 8+1=9
Sword =12
Tactics =9

Hundred Blades (good for spreading posion around)
Savage slash
Apply poison
sever
gash
Shields up>
Quite energy intesive for a warrior to run, and the skill really helps anywhere in pve, with so much wand projectiles and the increased damage they do with higher level opponents, also +50 armor vs Oni's and many other assasins who run daggers with that type of damage.
Watch yourself
Lightning reflexes/whirling defense or flurry
depending on what you feel like

Armor for this i have a +10 while in preperation chest and leggins, and as usual druids boots/glooves.

Hmm getting near time to be off to work, so might leave it at that for now, remember these are just what i use and you really can in Pve make things up for each zone and find the things you enjoy.

I'll just add 2 other builds in the short time i have for R/Assasin and just ranger.

Ranger assasin
9 expertise
12 dagger
14 Beastmastery

Ferocious Strike (E) Need to to maintain repeating strike
Any lead attack i use distupting stab or Leaping mantis sting
Any off hand attack i use Wild strike or Jungle strike
Repeating strike, with zero recharge (unless you miss) This is fun to go crazy with while under tigers, as every attack you do after lead + offhand is one. Looks cool also
Tigers fury
Call of haste
Comfort
Charm.

For this build you really need zealous daggers as energy is often tight, i suggest the green Everthorns charkrams and these are pefect in the type of damage they do (slashing) and also look cool

Beastmaster with a bow??
hehe i found this build to combine beast and marksman which actually works to a reasonable extent but anyway>>

Expertise >8+1=9
Beastmastery 12+3+1=16
Marks 11+1=12

Ferocious Strike {E}
Disrupting Lunge
Focused shot>If Focused Shot hits, you strike for +10...22 damage but all your other attack skills are disabled for 5...3 seconds>>
Funny enough though even though florish recharges pet skills when it says attack skills and tigers does not diable pet attacks when it says "disables non attack skills" Pet attacks while using Focused shot are not forced to recharge! Meaning with 2 second recharge and only 5 energy and with the same added damage as power attack, you can spam that while still doing pet attacks
Tigers fury
Call of haste
Comfort
Charm
Res/Call of protection/another pet attack.

Anyway gotta go, sorry for long post, not checking for spelling and such.

Nice suggestions. Well I have gotten the sword\axe stuff down already. Just need to figure out the best hammer skills. As for the Carapace SHield well I hate the skin alot. Does not go well with Shing Jea Style at all. I need to find a good looking shield that suits Shing Jea Style. I like having a stance shield though cause I spam Beastial Fury alot. I have also found myself switching back and forth between my offhand axe and my Green Dragoncrest axe alot.
